301 redirects helps to improve your blog search results in Google. Non -Canonical links can be rerdirected to canonical root domain urls of your blog to help improve the search presence and keep the traffic views on your site.

To redirect a url in your blog, follow these steps:

1. Go to blogger's dashboard
2. Click on Settings.Look for errors and redirections
3. Edit Customs redirects, add new redirect, In the from field, input a canonical link of a url that is missing in your site, e.g www.typearls.com.ng/index.html and in the to field, input the url you want the link to be redirected to e.g www.typearls.com.ng.
In the above example, a search for www.typearls.com.ng/index.html redirects to www.typearls.com.ng thereby keeping the search results on your site and preventing loss of traffic.
